28 Oct, 2025 | Return|

On October 24, 2025, the RCtoDC project successfully held its fourth webinar, Data Processing, Editing & Management, continuing the series dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in digital cultural heritage.

Hosted on Google Workspace, this session focused on the crucial processes that transform raw 3D scan data into refined, shareable models. Participants gained insights into topics such as data pre-selection, alignment, meshing, texturing, and model editing workflows. The webinar also explored best practices for exporting files and publishing 3D content online, highlighting Sketchfab as a key platform for digital presentation.

The event brought together cultural heritage professionals, 3D specialists, and enthusiasts interested in digital preservation, virtual reconstruction, and online heritage visualization. The session demonstrated how careful data management and processing enhance the accuracy and accessibility of digital heritage models.

For those who were unable to attend or wish to revisit the session, the recording and presentation materials are available [here].

We thank all participants for taking part in the webinar and look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming events as the RCtoDC project continues to support the effective use of digital technologies in cultural heritage management.
