The Opening Conference of the "From Raw Collection to Digital Collection" (RCtoDC) project was held on November 28, 2024, at Hotel Antunović in Zagreb, Croatia. This event marked the official start of the RCtoDC initiative, co-funded by the European Union, and gathered project partners, stakeholders, and industry experts to discuss its objectives and upcoming activities.The conference featured presentations from project leaders and included notable participants such as a representative from DG Connect, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content, and Technology. Representatives from companies specializing in 3D digitization of cultural heritage also attended, bringing valuable insights into the project's technical aspects and potential innovations.

The program focused on introducing the project's goals, milestones, and plans for transforming raw collections into accessible digital archives. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between cultural institutions, technology providers, and policymakers in advancing digital collection practices.
