Explore Francesco Robba’s St Francis Regis in 3D
A 3D scan of the marble sculpture of Saint Francis Regis by Baroque master Francesco Robba is now available online.
The model was captured using the Artec Leo and Canon EOS R5 Mark II, then processed in Artec Studio 19, resulting in a highly detailed and accurate digital representation of this important work.
Originally created for the Altar of Saint Ignatius Loyola in the Church of St. Catherine in Zagreb, the sculpture is a significant example of Robba’s mature Baroque style and an integral part of the church’s sculptural program. After being severely damaged in the 2020 earthquake, the statue underwent conservation and restoration at the Croatian Conservation Institute. It was temporarily on view in the exhibition Baroque in Slovenia: Painting and Sculpture (April 10 – November 9, 2025).
