Exploring Veit Königer’s Baroque Sculptures in 3D
We’re pleased to present newly created 3D models of three exceptional Baroque wooden sculptures by Veit Königer (1729–1792), offering a closer look at the artist’s carving technique.
Baroque Sculptures by Veit Königer
These three sculptures were originally part of the altar of the chapel at Novo Celje mansion. In 1951, they entered the collection of the National Gallery of Slovenia, where they are preserved today.
The newly produced 3D models allow viewers to explore these sculptures beyond the constraints of the exhibition space, revealing subtle details of carving, surface treatment, and form that are difficult to observe from a distance.
